JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Position title: Team Leader (software Applications Development)

Report to: Group Leader /Project Manager

 

PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage project team (up to 10 members) in application layer development (desktop / web / mobile application development) (business domain may be various):

• Establishing estimation, proposing development solution with customer;
• Making project plan, monitoring and controlling project progress, complying company's process;
• Directing project team in essential work tasks of software development (e.g., requirement definition, software design, implementation, testing);
• Accountable for success of the project in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery;
• Leading and managing team to counter risk and issues during project execution;
• Communicating and discussing directly with customer about requirement specifications;
• Accountable for continuously discovering, evaluating and implementing new technologies/process to optimize development efficiency or improve product quality;

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct training & coaching junior members in software engineering development if required;

 

SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

(1) Technical Skill

• Bachelor/Engineer degree in Computer Science or equivalent in the software development field;
• 5-7 years experience or more at software development at application layer (desktop / web / mobile application development). Various business domain experience is an advantage;
• Firm knowledge at software engineering (from requirement definition, software design, implementation & testing);
• Expert knowledge at one programming language (C++, Java, C#, etc.)

(2) Management Skill

• At least 02 years playing role of project management (team size up to 10 members;
• Good understanding/experiences in development process: CMMI or practical Agile development;
• Experience in dealing with projects that have frequent change requests & tight schedules;
• Experience in working with multi-side and cross-cultured customers is an advantage

(3) Personality/Soft Skills

• Quality & process oriented mindset;
• Team working, open minded, long-term commitment & self-motivated;
• Very good inter-personal and communication skills with customers and project members;
• Adapt quickly with new domain, ready to work & study new technologies;
• Able to work under high pressure.

(4) Communication Language

• Fluent communication using English is a must ( TOEIC 600 or higher);
• Japanese: motivation to learn Japanese. JLPT N3 or higher is a plus.
